Abu Dhabi Arabian Travel Market.Final

15 May 2015 – Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) Undersecretary Benito C. Bengzon, Jr. led the 24-strong Philippine delegation to the Arabian Travel Market from May 04 to 07. Executives from the country’s tourism industry players such as airlines, travel agencies, hotels and resorts and tourism-related associations, joined the DOT in promoting the Philippines as a tourist destination for the Middle East market. 

The DOT showcased its “Visit the Philippines Year 2015 Campaign” emphasizing the Philippines’ multiple destinations which is the country’s advantage over its Southeast Asian neighbours. The DOT also launched its Arabic website to reach out more widely to the Arab market. The Philippine Pavilion also highlighted its “Kids Go Free Campaign 2015.” Under this program, the Philippines is re-introduced as a family destination with holiday packages exclusively for families living in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region. The DOT aims to exceed its 5.2 million target number of tourists. END
