21 May 2015 – The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development represented by Professor Manuel J. De Vera, conducted an orientation seminar on its Master in Development Management (MDM) Program on May 17 at the Panorama Hotel in Yangon.

AIM’s Master in Development Management (MDM) Program is an 11-month intensive graduate degree program designed for development executives working in public agencies and civil society organizations engaged in development work. The program has graduates from over 50 countries worldwide.

Earlier, Professor De Vera called on Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Alex G. Chua on May 16 to discuss AIM’s campaign to recruit more students from Southeast Asia, particularly from Myanmar.  He expressed hope that many from Myanmar will compete for scholarships offered for the MDM Program. He said that development managers in Myanmar will benefit from the combination of theoretical and practical approaches in AIM’s MDM Program.

Ambassador Chua emphasized the role that higher institutions like AIM play in promoting development that benefits the people. He noted the increasing number of Myanmar nationals studying in the Philippines.

The AIM Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development has become a leader in the field of development management education in the region. END
