28 August 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to the Russian Federation Alejandro B. Mosquera presented his Letters of Credence to President Serzh Sargsyan of the Republic of Armenia at the Presidential Palace in Yerevan on August 23.

The Philippine Embassy in Moscow has concurrent jurisdiction over Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine.

During a meeting after the ceremony, Ambassador Mosquera expressed his commitment to working towards the continuing improvement of bilateral relations between the Philippines and Armenia. 

President Sargsyan expressed his desire to see meaningful developments in Philippines-Armenia relations, including the formation of a Philippines-Armenia Parliamentary Group as well as the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Mosquera also met with officials of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, with whom he exchanged views on the direction of Philippines-Armenia bilateral relations. END
