26 May 2015 – Philippine Consul General Marciano R. de Borja delivered the keynote address at the 12th International Conference of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Metro Manila Region (PICPA-MMR) on May 22.
In his remarks, Consul General de Borja outlined the economic diplomacy program of the Philippine Consulate General in Agana and explained how the concerted efforts of the Philippine Foreign Service posts in economic diplomacy help sustain the dynamic progress of the Philippine economy.
He also encouraged participants at the conference to keep their eyes wide open during their visit as there are plenty of opportunities for Philippine companies to do business with their Guam counterparts.
The PICPA-MMR International Conference was spearheaded by Conference Chair Marydith C. Miguel and Co-Chair Francis J. Ricamora. Leading the delegates, who came from different parts of the Philippines, were PICPA National President Tita A. Caluya and PICPA-MMR Council Chair Henry M. Tan.
Participants from the public and private sectors who attended the conference will receive credits for their continuing professional education. The international conference is annual event of the PICPA-MMR to help enhance the global competitiveness of the Filipino CPA. END
