29 May 2015 – Philippine delegates led by Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Vice Commander Major General Demosthenes C, Santillan, Major  Edward F. Canlas, Major Gladius C. Calilan and  Major  Edwin E Nogal participated in the  Land Forces Pacific (LANPAC), a three-day international  symposium held  from May 19 to 21 at Sheraton Waikiki Hotel in Honolulu.

Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin welcomed Major General Santillan and his delegation during their courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate on May 22.

LANPAC is an international gathering of high-level military officials highlighting the role of land forces in the Indo-Asia-Pacific theater and their contributions to the Joint Force in peace and war. The Association of the United States Army’s Institute of Land Warfare, with participation from the U.S. Army Pacific and the U.S. Pacific Command helped organized the  2015 LANPAC Symposium and Exposition that discussed among others, leveraging science & technology in maintaining joint land force operational readiness; contingency preparedness; partnership with government organizations and academia;  communications interoperability in joint and combined contingency operations; and humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
