04 June 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Berne has launched the iREHISTRO to make it easier for Filipinos to register as overseas voters for the Philippine national elections in 2016.

With iREHISTRO, Filipinos who are qualified to register as overseas voters can go online to fill out an Overseas Registration Form for convenient printing and submission to the Philippine Embassy in Berne or the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva. Upon submission of the form, applicants proceed immediately to the next stage of the application process, namely, capturing of their biometrics.

 To accomplish the iREHISTRO form, applicants may refer to the following steps:

1. Access http://www.comelec.gov.ph/?r=AboutCOMELEC/OverseasAbsenteeVoting/OFOViRehistro ;
2. Select type of application from the list;
3. Fill in application form without affixing signature;
4. Bring the accomplished form and a valid Philippine identification document to the Philippine Embassy in Berne or Philippine Consulate General in Geneva and present it to the consular staff;
5. Proceed to biometrics capturing.

 Overseas voters registration is open until October 31.  END
