04 June 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda spoke as a guest lecturer at the Globalization Program of the Rotterdam Business School (RBS) held on May 19.

The Globalization Program for third-year RBS students was attended by some 300 participants. On this particular session, the Program’s agenda focused on the Philippines and provided an opportunity to have the country highlighted as one of the fastest-growing economies and tourist destinations of Southeast Asia.

In his presentation, Ambassador Ledda talked about Philippines-European Union (EU) relations and the Philippines’ experience on market access to the EU for some of the country’s products.

Together with Ambassador Ledda, Director John Verheijen of Schutter Group, Director Aleksander Peric of Globalik, and Atty. Florisa Almodiel Luteijn, Director for Legal and Administrative Services at BMVA Consultancy and Lecturer at the Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship (LSE) Program of the School of Government of the Ateneo de Manila University, also gave presentations on related topics covering supply chain on international trade and biopiracy.

Ms. Meryem Chetyar, a current student of the Rotterdam Business School, made a brief presentation entitled “Why visit Philippines?”.  Ms. Chetyar shared her fun and exciting experiences during her two-week trip to the Philippines, where she travelled to Cebu, Boracay, and Manila. END
