05 June 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, led by Ambassador Joseph Gerard B. Angeles, attended the 13th International Festival of Language and Culture held last March 18.
The event, entitled “Colors of the World”, featured a night filled with dance and music in celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity. Students from 17 countries, including the Philippines, displayed their talents and culture in front of a full crowd at the Nelson Mandela Theater in Johannesburg. Members of the diplomatic community, the academe, local communities, and government officials were in attendance.
The International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) was established in 2003 by the International Association of Turkish Language and is an annual celebration to showcase the diversity of linguistic talents around the world. This year, IFLC has chosen Johannesburg as the venue for its annual celebration. END
