05 June 2015 - The Department of Agriculture (DA) showcased Philippine products at the Myanmar Food and Hotel 2015 exhibition held from June 03 to 05 at the Myanmar Event Park in Yangon.

Nuts and fruit derivatives such as juices, sauces and condiments were among the products highlighted in the Philippine booth, which featured Food Philippines -Taste by Design, an initiative to promote natural and healthy Philippine products.   

On June 1, Special Agriculture Representative (SAR) Ana GM B. Abejuela, head of the 5-member DA delegation, met with Philippine Ambassador Alex G. Chua. She said the Philippine participation in the Myanmar Food and Hotel 2015 exhibition is a follow-up to the food festivals held in 2014 and 2015 in Yangon. SAR Abejuela expressed hope that DA’s initiatives, with the Embassy’s support, will translate into more products from the Philippines entering the market in Myanmar.

The Philippine participation in the Myanmar Food and Hotel 2015 was supported by Hi-Las Marketing Corporation, Polyfruits, Incorporated., Deli Foodline, Mama Sita’s, Profood International Corporation, VFC Condiments International Corporation, and Jojo’s Food Products. END
