08 June 2015 - Eight students from the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P)’s Korean Studies Program visited the Philippine Embassy in Seoul on May 27 as part of their one-week visit to the country.
Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez welcomed the students and their professors after the screening of a short video on the history of Philippine-Korean relations. The Ambassador gave a brief overview of the Embassy’s functions and responsibilities, as well as the highlights of the robust relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Hernandez also answered questions on Philippine-South Korean defense and economic cooperation, national security issues, as well as education opportunities for Filipino students in Korea.
The eight participants of the Korea study tour were chosen based on their exceptional performance in class. The trip was sponsored by Fastem Construction Inc., a Korean company based in Manila. The students were accompanied by their professors, Mr. Kim Djun-Kil and Ms. Regina Gonzaludo-Castillo. END
