09 June 2015 – Philippine Consul General Marichu Mauro participated in the seminar on International cooperation for sustainable development: the contribution of the University of Brescia to the World Expo in Milan, held at the Italian Pavilion, Expo site in Milan on June 04. The resource speakers presented various topics concerning Brescia’s history, culture, geographic location, and the economic contribution of Brescia to Italy and to the future of the world’s agricultural and industrial developments.
The said event was organized by the Università degli Studi di Brescia (University of Brescia) under the leadership of Internationalization and Higher Education Deputy Chancellor for Research, Professor Maurizio Memo. Consul General Mauro and Professor Memo discussed about a possible collaboration through the exchange of faculty and students between the Università degli Studi di Brescia and Philippine universities. Professor Memo expressed a positive interest in said project and looks forward to a fruitful cooperation between the academe and the community as a whole.
