09 June 2015 – Philippine Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores attended the opening program of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Forum on “Belt and Road” Cooperation and Asia Business Conference held on May 18 in Fuzhou City, capital of Fujian province.
At the opening program, the main speakers were National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Vice Chairman and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Chairman Wang Qinmin, as well as Thai Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai.
Mr. Wang underscored ACD’s role as a major platform to promote regional cooperation in which China is committed to ACD’s thrusts of mutual understanding and economic cooperation and to promote realization of ACD’s initiatives in regional integration, liberalization, and free flow of resources.
All 33 ACD member countries were represented at the Forum, hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Affairs in cooperation with the Fuzhou Municipal Government.
Consul General Flores was joined by members of the Philippine Delegation led by Mr. Ariel Peñaranda. Other members of the Philippine delegation include Ms. Maria Elena P. Algabre, Ms. Andrea Christina Q. Caymo and Vice Consul Nomer B. Ado from the Philippine Embassy in Beijing. END
