15 June 2015 - The new Philippine Consul General in Manado Oscar G. Orcine paid a courtesy call on Provincial Police Director Brigadier General Wilmar Marpaung on June 09 at  the Provincial Police Office of North Sulawesi. The Consul General was accompanied by Vice Consul Jan Sherwin P. Wenceslao, Protocol Officer Noli M. Susi and Translator/Interpreter Novia Lambey.

During the course of the meeting, the Consul General and Provincial Police Director took the opportunity to discuss matters related to regional and border security, in particular the safety and security of Filipino nationals in North Sulawesi, fisheries environmental concerns, border issues as well as technical matters involving ongoing cooperation and lines of communication between the Consulate General and the Regional Police of North Sulawesi.
