30 August 2013 - The Philippine Consulate General in New York, AXA Advisors and Philippine Jaycees-New York co-sponsored a seminar on Financial Strategies 101: Making the Most of Your Money.  The event was held on August 22 at the Philippine Center, and attended by about 50 members of the Filipino-American community.

Three speakers from AXA - Lorraine Reyes (Advisor), Eleanora Anastasia-Sciopu (Vice President) and Bruce Maier (Financial Consultant), talked about the advantages of doing smart financial management, overcoming obstacles to success, and learning the various components of financial management, including cash management, risk management, estate planning strategies, investment strategies, tax-reduction strategies and retirement program.

Consul General Mario De Leon, Jr. said, “The seminar is part of the Consulate General’s financial and business education program to help bring economic empowerment to the Filipino American community. In the past, we had partnered with Citi Commercial Banking group and the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce for similar type of seminar. We also want our community to become successful in business and entrepreneurship.” END
