19 June 2015 - The Philippines participated in the International Travel Show 2015 organized by Hana Tour, Korea’s largest tour company, at the Korean International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) from June 05 to 07in Goyang, located some 30km northwest of Seoul.
The International Travel Show was formally opened by Mr. Sang Hwan Park, Chairman of r. US Ambassador to Korea Mark Lippert and Mr. Yang Moo-seung, Chairman of the Korea Association of Travel Agents, delivered the congratulatory remarks.
Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez and Philippine Tourism Director and Attaché MariconEbronattended the opening ceremony.
Following the opening ceremony, Ambassador Hernandez visited the Philippine pavilion and met with the Philippine delegation composed of representatives from hotel properties in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Batangas, Clark and Palawan.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase the Philippines as a prime destination for leisure and adventure travel.The Philippine pavilion was popular with visitors as the tour packages being offered featured the natural beauty of Philippine travel destinations.
The Hana International Travel Show, a prestigious trade and consumer event, is heldannually in Seoul and attracts approximately over 75,000 visitors including 3,000 of Hana Tour’s retail agents. END
