29 June 2015 – Philippine Consul General to Milan Marichu Mauro paid a courtesy call on La Biennale di Venezia to hand deliver letters of Dr. Felipe M. de Leon, Chairman of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, declaring the Philippines’ intent to participate in the next Architecture and Art Biennale.

On hand to receive the letters were General Manager Andrea Del Mercato, who received the letter on behalf of Mr. Paolo Baratta, President of La Biennale di Venezia, and Mrs. Debora Rossi, Director for Legal and Institutional Affairs.

Consul General Mauro also took the opportunity to thank the La Biennale di Venezia for all their support for the successful return of the Philippines to the Venice Biennale. In turn, both Mr. Del Mercato and Mrs. Rossi expressed their appreciation for the Philippines’ return to the Biennale and look forward to the Philippines’ continuous participation at these prestigious events.
