02 September 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to Laos Maria Lumen B. Isleta called on Lao Minister of Industry and Commerce Nam Viyaketh on August 15 to discuss possible areas for Philippines-Laos bilateral economic cooperation as well as within the ambit of ASEAN.

Ambassador Isleta also took the opportunity to update Minister Viyaketh on Philippines-Laos exchanges, particularly among the business sectors and plans to strengthen further this relationship.

Minister Viyaketh also discussed Laos’ preparations for the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, including activities to welcome this auspicious event.  He expressed the hope that the Embassy will take part in these activities. END
