06 July 2015 –­­­ Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalida, King of Bahrain on June 29 in ceremonies held at the Kingdom’s al Sakhir Palace.

Ambassador Ver conveyed the warm greetings of President Benigno S. Aquino III and reiterated the government’s commitment to further strengthen relations between the Philippines and Bahrain. Ambassador Ver expressed his appreciation to His Majesty for the hospitality extended to over 100,000 Filipinos in the Kingdom of Bahrain. For his part, King Hamad hailed the good relations between two countries and lauded growing ties in all fields.

The presentation ceremony also included the Ambassador of China, India and Sweden, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, as well as the King’s personal representative, Royal court Minister, Royal Court Minister for Follow-up and Royal Protocol Head. END
