06 July 2015 – Philippine Consul General Marichu Mauro welcomed teacher educators of Pinoy Guro EU in Milan on June 29. Pinoy Guro EU provides opportunities for Filipinos in Milan and Northern Italy to augment their knowledge and skills through non formal or non conventional education which they cannot possibly do because of time, distance, finances and other constraints. The Filipino children in Milan and Northern Italy will have the opportunity to learn the Filipino language and culture as part of their course curricula.  English language is primarily being taught as well.

Pinoy Guro EU was founded in Rome in August 2014 by Professor Don Harmel Tatel II, a licensed professional teacher, psychometrician and an advocate of special education. The fact that Milan hosts a large Filipino population, the organization also set up operations in Milan headed by Ms. Madel Mataya, DMD. END
