07 July 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen has recently achieved the targeted 100 overseas voter registrants for the 2016 national elections with the registration of Ms. Maria Krestina Belangoy of Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte. Ms. Belangoy is an OFW currently based in Quanzhou City.

The Consulate General has registered a total of four 425 voters, excluding the 100 new registrants since overseas voters registration began on May 06.

Notwithstanding this recent development, the Consulate General continues to encourage all qualified Filipino voters in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces who have not yet registered for overseas voting to do so on or before October 31.
