08 July 2015 - As part of the Consulate General’s efforts to promote the welfare of the Filipinos in Milan and Northern Italy, Philippine Consul General  Marichu Mauro and Vice Consul Helen Anne Sayo met with Mr. Gregorio Tito, Director of Instituto Nazionale della Previdenza Sociale (INPS) or the National Institute of Social Security for the Piemonte region on July 03 in Torino. 

Recognizing the significant contributions of Filipino migrant workers, INPS-Piemonte has included the Filipino community in the intercultural project entitled “Conosci I’INPS” (Do you know INPS?). The aim of the project is to spread knowledge on social security benefits among the numerous foreign communities present in Italy.

The Consulate General and INPS Piemonte agreed to collaborate on projects that will provide Filipino migrants with clearer and sufficient information on their benefits and privileges. END
