10 July 2015 – As part of its month-long celebration of the 117th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, the Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR held a gathering with the Filipino community in the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Fatima Church on June 28. The celebration was headed by Philippine Consul General Lilybeth R. Deapera, who read the Nndependence Day message of President Benigno S. Aquino III after the singing of the Philippine national anthem.
During the program, brief talks about the services of OWWA, PagIBIG Fund and SSS were presented to the nearly 400 guests by Labor Attaché Vivian F. Tornea, PagIBIG representative Mr. Joel Nadres and SSS representative Mr. Kristmond Cheng, respectively. Along with those who applied or consulted about OWWA, PagIBIG, and SSS services, Embassy representatives also assisted applicants for overseas voters registration and the Balik Manggagawa (BM) program.
The highlight of the program was the presentation of the cultural performances of selected members of different Filipino community associations in Macau SAR. END
