13 July 2015 – Philippine Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala visited on July 04 the different Pavilions of ASEAN countries in the World Expo in the northern Italian city of Milan, the world’s center of fashion, art and design. The Secretary shared positive developments on the Philippine government’s efforts to further develop agribusiness and exports of agricultural products. He encouraged the overseas Filipinos to invest their hard earned incomes in worthy and sustainable agricultural projects back home. 

In his meeting with Philippine Consul General Marichu Mauro, Secretary Alcala expressed willingness to conduct seminars and lectures in Milan and other parts of Northern Italy on developments in the Philippine agribusiness sector and how Filipinos in Italy can support these projects for possible investments.
