04 September 2013 - Ms. Merlyn Bata Reyes won first prize in the Essay Writing Contest launched by the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw in celebration of the “Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa” (National Language Month) on the theme “Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid.”

The second prize went to Ms. Jeanette Ulit while the third prize went to Ms. Jocelyn Gulbin.

They were given Certificates of Award as well as cash prizes of PLN 500 (first prize), PLN 300 (second prize), and PLN 200 (third prize.)

The Board of Judges, which was headed by Mr. Ronaldo Farrales, included Mr. Jonathan Abrahan and Ms. Lolita Rodriguez.

The winners of the essay writing contest were announced last August 31 at the Embassy where Ambassador Paez and Mr. Farrales gave them their Certificates of Award and cash prizes. END
