04 September 2013 - The Philippine Consulate General in Milan joined the mobile consular mission conducted by the Philippine Embassy Berne in Ticino, Switzerland on September 01.

People living in Ticino are mostly Italian-speaking considering its proximity to Italy. It is located in the southern part of Switzerland, which is just over an hour away by car from Milan but about four hours away from Berne. 

Consulate representatives had an opportunity to meet the Filipino residents in Ticino and other applicants who came from Campione d’Italia in Como, which is under the Consulate’s jurisdiction. Attached agencies from Milan such as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG were present to render their services as well. END
