28 July 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Singapore through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) conducted its regular Post-arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for newly-arrived Filipino household service workers (HSWs) on July 26 at the public area of the Philippine chancery along Nassim Road, Singapore.

During the PAOS, officials of the Philippine Embassy and its attached agencies, namely, POLO, Philippine Trade and Investment Centre, Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attaché, provided orientation to the participants on their respective services that are available for them as well tips and advice on how they could best adapt to the local situation with the end view of helping them have a comfortable and productive stay in Singapore. The PAOS, which is organized by the POLO under the leadership of Labor Attaché Ramon Tionloc Jr., is undertaken once every two months.

A total of 197 HWS participants from around Singapore came to attend the seminar. The next PAOS will be held in September. END
