30 July 2015 – Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer met with Philippine Consul General Leo Herrera-Lim at the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles on July 27.
Attorney Mike Feuer in his first two years as City Attorney has nearly tripled the Neighborhood Prosecutor Program, launched a broad neighborhood school safety initiative, formed a strike force to combat illegal dumping, taken on wage theft, tackled substandard housing, cracked down on patient dumping, closed more than half the City’s unlawful medical marijuana dispensaries, instituted a program to protect immigrants from fraud, targeted polluters and advanced environmental justice.
Attorney Feuer also created a Gun Violence Prevention Unit, Community Justice Initiative and jointly-authored the Homeowner’s Bill of Rights and the Iran Contracting Act. He wrote the Crime Gun Identification Act and the Sargent Shriver Civil Counsel Act, as well as the nation’s most comprehensive law to remove cancer-causing chemicals from consumer products.
During the meeting, Consul General Herrera-Lim expressed his appreciation for the visit of Attorney Feuer aimed at building stronger network with the Philippine Consulate General and the Filipino-American Community of Los Angeles City. END
