4 September 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Rome welcomed Dott. Danilo Cannas as the newest Philippine Honorary Consul in Italy on September 01. 

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jarie R. Osias administered the oath of office to Mr. Cannas who assumed his post as Philippine Honorary Consul to Cagliari, Sardinia.

The oath taking was attended by Embassy consular team, who conducted an outreach mission in Cagliari, and the members of the Filipino communities of Sardinia.

In his congratulatory remarks, Vice Consul Osias welcomed Honorary Consul Cannas, and expressed confidence that he shall look after the interests of Filipinos, and promote Philippine-Italy economic relations in his area of jurisdiction. END
