5 September 2013 – Philippine Consul General in Honolulu Julius D. was a guest and speaker at the 30th Anniversary of the Vigan Association of Hawaii and Associates held on August 31 at the Hibiscus Ballroom at the Ala Moana Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Vigan Association of Hawaii and Associates, in its 30 years of existence, has strived to be at the forefront of community affairs, through its participation in many activities and worthy causes in the community, including financial support in the Philippines. It has continuously supported the efforts of the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu and other organizations that uplift the welfare and image of Filipinos in Hawaii.
The event was attended by Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell, Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Singson, Vigan City Mayor Eva Marie Medina, other officials of both the State of Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu, and leaders and members of different Filipino-American organizations of Hawaii. END
