Milan Features

05 August 2015 – The Philippine Consulate General in Milan, Italy, in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), organized its 2nd Film Festival from July 30 to 31.

In her message, Philippine Consul General to Milan Marichu Mauro encouraged the Filipinos to reflect on the moral values and social relevance of the films.

On July 30, a film by Gil Portes, entitled “Ang Tag-araw ni Twinkle,” tackled the life of a rebellious teenager, Twinkle, who was later on forced to reevaluate the important things in life after meeting his biological father. The next day, July 31, a film by the award-winning director, Maryo J. delos Reyes, narrated the lives of various characters in the province of Bohol depicting various themes of aspirations, love, sacrifice and hope.

Together with FDCP, the Philippine Consulate General continues to support and promote the artistic integrity of Filipino independent films. END
