05 August 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco participated in the Lucky Strike VII – 7th Annual Young Diplomats Club (YDC) Bowling Tournament, and defended its title for the fourth straight year.
Held at the Bowling Club at San Francisco’s historic Presidio, representatives from various countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands and Croatia, to name a few, participated in the event. South Korea took second place, followed by Japan. The various Consulate Generals in San Francisco were given an opportunity to meet their colleagues and network during the event.
The Young Diplomats Club of San Francisco (YDC) was launched on 15 April 2009, is a private organization, endorsed by the former Dean of the San Francisco Consular Corps, The Honorable Marc LePage of Canada. The intent of the YDC is to serve as a networking social group with quarterly events, held in various and unique Bay Area settings. Participation is open to all career San Francisco Consular Corps members, staff and spouses or partners. END
