06 August 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Paris conducted a consular outreach mission in Marseille, France on August 01.
Marseille, a port city in the south of France, has been a crossroad of immigration and trade. It is located approximately 770 kilometers from Paris and has been the home of more than 2,000 Filipino nationals who have been working as household service workers, seafarers, and other professionals.
The consular outreach mission held in Église Mission Espagnole was organized with the cooperation of Fr. Percival Redoña and Filipino volunteers.
The seven-member consular team rendered consular services to more than 200 Filipinos in Marseille and neighboring towns. The consular services included passport renewals, notarials and legalizations, civil registry, and dual citizenship. More than 100 Filipinos registered and/or updated their records for the overseas voting.
The consular mobile outreach is being done by the Embassy for Filipino communities in Monaco, Nice, Lyon, Cannes and other areas in the south of France. END
