07 August 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Mexico’s Finance Officer and deputized Commission on Elections (COMELEC) representative Randy S. Hilot conducted consular outreach and overseas voters registration for the Filipino community in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on August 01.

The Embassy extended e-Passport renewal and overseas voter registration services at the office of Mr. Limuel V. Dadulo, the Philippine Honorary Consul General in Dominican Republic, located at Calle Primera Casa No. 29, Residencia del Mirador, Arroyo Hondo, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Thirty four (34) Filipinos applied for the renewal of their e-passports while 25 qualified applicants for overseas voters registration availed of the Embassy’s services.

The passport renewal applicants and qualified registrants, express their appreciation for the Embassy’s extension of services in their locality. They look forward to their participation in the 2016 Philippine elections even if they are far away from their homeland. They are also thankful for the renewal of their passports as this will enable them to apply for residency in the Dominican Republic and eventually allow them to enroll their children to schools or apply for work.

The conduct of the above services is part of the Embassy’s efforts to reach out to all the members of the Filipino community in the countries under its jurisdiction.END
