10 August 2015 - Six Philippine participants of the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) paid a courtesy call on Philippine Consul General to Honolulu Gina A. Jamoralin on August 04. The participants were attending a course on “Comprehensive Crisis Management” (CCM) at the APCSS.

The participants were from a combination of military and civilian government agencies, as follows: Ms. Edna Conda, Chief Operations Officer - Office of Civil Defense (OCD); Mr. Tomas Brinas, Regional Directorv- Department of Science and Technology (DOST); Col. Ferdinand Fragina l- Philippine Marines, Vice President Binay’s Commander of Security Detail/ Senior Military Advisor; Mr. Edgardo Esperancilla, Regional Director- DOST Palo, Leyte; Mr. Romeo RaymundoBituin, and Medical Specialist, Fabella Memorial Hospital.

The CCM course is for practitioners whose current or future responsibilities lie in the field of crisis management and recovery. It includes mid-career to senior practitioners in civilian, military, law enforcement, disaster management agencies and organizations.

The Filipino participants are bringing with them years of experience in handling various crisis management situations in the Philippines, which they shared and discussed with fellow participants in the APCSS. END
