13 August 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta participated in the ASEAN Day celebration on August 09 at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta.           

The celebration was kicked-off with a 5Km-Fun Run at 6:00a.m. Personnel of the Philippine Embassy and the Permanent Mission to ASEAN joined in the 5-Km Fun Run that took around 30 minutes to complete.

Part of the celebration was an ASEAN Carnival which consisted of an opening ceremony graced by Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, an ASEAN Mini Parade showcasing ASEAN costumes and ASEAN Village. The Philippines, represented by both the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta and the Permanent Representative to ASEAN, set up a booth at the ASEAN Village.  The Philippine booth showcased Philippine tourism, crafts and shared some Filipino delicacies to the crowd.
