14 August 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales joined Singapore officials during the SG50 celebration at Marsiling Sports Park on August 07.

Ambassador Morales was invited by Member of Singapore Parliament (MP) Hawazi Daipi, Marsiling GRC, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower. MP Daipi was the official behind the successful joint performance “Love Across the Ocean II” between the Marsiling Chinese Orchestra and the Silay Kabataan Rondalla Ensemble at the Star Theatre Singapore on May 22.

During the event, MP Daipi announced his retirement after almost two decades in politics. Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong and Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob and the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indonesian Embassy were also present in the event that was attended by officials of the Marsiling Citizens’ Consultative Committee, GRC constituents and other guests.
