24 August 2015 – Philippine Ambassador     to Singapore Antonio A. Morales joined other members of the diplomatic corps in Singapore to attend a talk on the “Forthcoming Singapore General Election” at the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) Headquarters on August 20. Organized by Mr. George Huang, Vice President of Pro-Tem Management Committee of Club SG200 and President Emeritus of SMF, the talk featured Dr. Chiang Hai Ding, former Singapore Member of Parliament and Professor Tan Tai Yong who spoke on why the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) has dominated the Singapore political scene during the last 50 years, its success factors, and on what issues might remain relevant for the next 50 years. Currently, the definite date of the next general election in Singapore is yet to be announced. END
