24 August 2015 – Philippine Defense Attaché Col. Romulo A. Manuel, Jr. PA (GSC) conducted a Security Consciousness Seminar for the personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Athens, including those from attached agencies, from August 19 to 21 to raise their awareness and improve their practices with regard to security matters.

The seminar covered an introduction to intelligence and security; threats/security situation; briefs on physical, personnel, document communication/cyber and operations security; updates on the national and regional security situation including on the West Philippine Sea and ISIS; samples of Personnel Security Investigation and Security Survey and Inspection (SSI). Individual security practices were also discussed and a practical exercise on SSI was conducted. 

The first draft of the SSI of the Embassy was presented to Philippine Ambassador to Greece Nestor Z. Ochoa before the closing of the seminar. END
