24 August 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Christopher B. Montero paid an introductory call on Cambodian Senate President Samdech Vibol Senan Pheakdei Say Chhum at the Red Building of the Cambodian Senate on August 11.

Ambassador Montero conveyed to Senate President Say Chhum his commitment to expand and deepen Philippine-Cambodia relations during his tour of duty, including through increased parliamentary exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. He noted the recent visit to the Philippines last May of members of the Secretariat General of the Cambodian Senate and expressed the hope for a similar visit this year by a delegation from the  Secretariat of the Philippine Senate. Ambassador Montero also highlighted the on-going English language training program organized by the Philippine Embassy for the staff members of the Secretariat General of the Cambodian Senate.

Senate President Say Chhum conveyed his appreciation for the Philippine Government's assistance to the Cambodian Senate and wished Ambassador Montero for a successful mission in Cambodia. END
