26 August 2015 – Philippine Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala visited Nay Pyi Taw from August 10 to 11 to personally invite his Myanmar counterpart Union Minister U Myint Hlaing to attend the 37th ASEAN Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF) in Manila. It was also an opportunity for the two officials to review bilateral cooperation on agriculture and for the visiting Philippine official to see the extent of Myanmar government support for its agriculture.
