01 September 2015 - The Philippine film “BWAYA”, a film based on a true-to-life account of an incident in 2009 when a 12 year old girl was attacked and killed by a crocodile in the marshland of Agusan de Sur, directed by Mr. Francis Xavier Pasion is chosen by the National Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations of Thailand to participate as the Philippine film entry in the Bangkok ASEAN Film Festival 2015 organized by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand.
The Festival will be hold free public screening of the films, with Thai and English subtitles, at SF World Cinemas located at Central World in Bangkok from August 27 to 30; Chiang Mai Province from September 03 to 06; Khon Kaen Province from September 10 to 13 and Surat Thani Province from September 17 to 20.
The Embassy’s Cultural Officer Sylvia Reyes, and Records Officer Karlo Berme attended the opening ceremony and the world premier screening of Mad Pa Yak-The Great Muay Thai Fighter, held at SF World Cinema at Central World, Bangkok, on August 26. Mrs. Reyes also attended the first screening of the film on August 27. END
