01 September 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta headed the Philippine delegation to the International Air and Space Salon (also known as MAKS, its Russian acronym), which was held from August 25 to 30 at the Zhukovsky airfield in Moscow. The delegation included Capt. Noel de Vera of the Philippine Navy and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Luningning G. Camoying of the Philippine Embassy in Moscow.

MAKS is one of the world’s largest aviation and space technology exhibitions. It highlights Russian priorities and achievements in the aerospace industry while serving as a venue for experts, businessmen, and government decision-makers to establish linkages and promote greater industrial cooperation and commercial engagements. This year’s edition gathered 760 foreign and local exhibitors, including the biggest names in the aerospace industries of Russia, US, France, Germany, Canada, and China, respectively. END
