Members of the royal family who were present during the reception include: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, The Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Zariah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Masna; and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Aziz.

Dean of Diplomatic Corps Chhay Sokhan, Cambodian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, led the Heads of Missions in welcoming Their Majesties to the occasion. The Diplomatic Corps also presented a special portrait of His Majesty made of high quality mosaic tiles using special glazed materials, featuring the 29 flags of the resident Diplomatic Missions accredited to Brunei Darussalam and an Islamic floral design.

The special reception being organized annually by the Diplomatic Corps in Brunei Darussalam in honor of His Majesty’s birthday started in July 2002 during the Sultan’s 56th birthday. END
