11 September 2015 – As the overseas voters registration of Filipinos in Lebanon enters its 36th week, the Philippine Embassy in Beirut once again conducted a mobile registration on September 06 at the St. Francis Church grounds in Hamra that netted a total of 33 new registrants.
A fashion show competition organized by LMS Working Group entitled “Search for Best in Gown 2015,” held inside the auditorium of St. Francis Church in Hamra on the same day, was likewise supported by the Embassy. Vice Consul Enrik Fort E. Revillas delivered the inspirational message of Philippine Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz and exhorted all Filipinos present to register for the May 2016 presidential election.
To date, the Philippine Embassy in Lebanon has successfully conducted 15 overseas voters mobile registrations across the country since the start of the Embassy’s registration campaign in May 2014. The overall total of new registrants is 6,458 as of August 31. END
