14 September 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Cairo added 20 newly-arrived Filipino nurses in Egypt to its list of overseas voters (OV) during a mobile registration drive at the Dar Al Fouad Hospital in Giza.
The outreach team, led by Vice Consul Jahzeel Abihail G. Cruz, also entertained questions from the registrants about living and working in Egypt.
The Dar Al Fouad Hospital is a top private general hospital in Egypt affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic in the US. Already employing more than 100 Filipino nurses, the hospital plans to increase the number to 200 by year’s end to staff its expanding facilities.
The Embassy intends to return to the hospital to register more new arrivals before the October 31 deadline. END
