23 September 2015 - Rodel Tapaya’s solo exhibition, “Diamond in the Distance” opened at the ARNDT Fine Art at Gillman Barracks, Singapore on September 12. The exhibition is the third to be launched under the Philippine Art Trek 2015. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales and representatives of the Philippine Embassy were on hand to witness the occasion. Diamond in the Distance is open to the public until October 25.
Rodel Tapaya is considered to be one of the most active artists in Southeast Asia today. His breakthrough came when he was awarded the coveted Top Prize in the Nokia Art Awards, which allowed him to pursue intensive drawing and painting courses at Parsons School of Design in New York and the University of Helsinki in Finland. He completed his studies at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts. END
