23 September 2015 – As part of the Philippine Embassy’s campaign to reach out to Filipinos throughout Indonesia, a team composed of Second Secretary and Consul Jed Llona and Attaché Steven Magat travelled to Batam, Indonesia to conduct consular outreach and mobile overseas voters registration from September 19 to 20. The Embassy team was assisted by members of the Filipino community in Batam, including Mr. Dino Marte, Mr. Danny So, Ms. Malou So, Ms. Rose Bantigue and Pastor Edwin Peña, in organizing the outreach.
Since the start of overseas voters registration in May 2014, the Embassy has conducted mobile registrations in Surabaya, Bandung, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bali, and various schools, companies, and churches in Jakarta. Upcoming registrations are scheduled in Malang on September 26, Surabaya on September 27, Medan on October 03, Solo on October 10, Semarang on October 11 and Bali on October 17. END
