28 September 2015 - As part of its public diplomacy commitment of fostering cordial relationship with Bangladesh and contributing to the promotion of ASEAN presence in the country, the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka organized on September 19 an educational visit to Beximco, one of the country’s leading industrial enterprises. The Philippine Embassy personnel and family, led by Philippine Ambassador Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo were joined by members of the ASEAN diplomatic community, including Malaysian High Commissioner Norlin Othman, as well as officers, staff and their families from Dhaka-based diplomatic missions of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Thailand and Viet Nam.

Chief Executive Officer of Beximco Mr. Syed Naved Husain welcomed the ASEAN visitors at the company’s industrial park in Gazipur with a comprehensive presentation on the different businesses operated by Beximco. This was followed by a tour of the manufacturing plants for fabric, garments and tableware. Guests were feted at lunch in the company guest house located inside the park.

On behalf of the group, Philippine Ambassador Bandillo and Malaysian High Commissioner Othman expressed their appreciation to CEO Husain and the company’s management staff for their warm welcome and for the tour. This was followed by a group photo with CEO Husain.
