11 September 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Muscat informed the Department of Foreign Affairs that Qatar Airways Country Manager for Oman, Mr. Joe Rajadurai, and his team called on Charge d’Affaires, a.i. (CDA) Hjayceelyn M. Quintana recently and informed the latter of Qatar Airways’ plan to start direct flights from Doha, Qatar to Clark, Pampanga beginning 27 October 2013. 

The plan of some Middle East-based airlines, including Qatar Airways, to fly directly to Clark International Airport will benefit the Filipinos in Oman.  CDA Quintana welcomed this development as this will not only provide Filipinos more travel options but will further boost Philippine trade and tourism as well. 

Approximate flight duration from the Omani capital city of Muscat to Doha is one hour and eight minutes.

The Clark International Airport is eyed as the next premier international gateway of the Philippines. It is approximately 80 kilometers north of Manila and takes around 1.5 hours in travel time. END
