15 October 2015 - More than 150 Filipinos based in Bavaria and surrounding areas availed of passport services in Munich during a one-day consular outreach organized by the Philippine Embassy on September 19. The consular outreach was held in the premises of the Philippine Honorary Consulate General on Nussbaumstraße.

The Embassy team was composed of Consul Catherine Torres, Ms. Amor Del Mundo, Ms. Maria Cecilia Estrella, Mr. Armando Mahinay, and Ms. Lourdes Marie Reyes. They were assisted by Ms. Jutta Hippelein, Philippine Honorary Vice Consul in Munich.

The team processed a total of 155 passports, 13 civil registry reports, and 18 other consular-related services. Overseas voter registration was also conducted during the outreach.

The holding of consular outreach activities in different parts of Germany is part of the Philippine Embassy's efforts to make consular services more accessible to Filipino nationals based in the country, especially in areas far from Berlin. Earlier missions have been conducted in Bonn, Cologne, Schifferstadt, Schweinfurt, Bochum, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Frankfurt, while the final consular outreach for 2015 is scheduled to be held in Essen on November 14. A new list of outreach missions for 2016 will be announced soon at the website of the Philippine Embassy in Berlin. END
